Hey guys! I recently opened up a Redbubble store and Spoonflower portfolio! Redbubble is a site that custom prints t-shirts and hoodies, and right now my portfolio has a few designs in it- right now featuring Wreck-It Ralph, Psychonauts, and My Little Pony.

Spoonflower is a site for custom printing fabric, where I will be uploading any designs I print out for cosplay. Right now there's only one (a blue/blue polka dot design I whipped up for my Adorabeezle cosplay), but there may be more in the future! This post is to announce that Mizza's Mods will be making its second Artist's Alley appearance- at Another Anime Con, 2012!

Stock will include one-of-a-kind plushies, lots of cool accessories from series like Pokemon and My Little Pony like hats and scarves, and much more! Some Mizza's Mods employees and partners will be contributing their unique products to the table- it's going to be very exciting!

Well, Quinni-Con was a smashing success! Out of the 19 plushies I brought, 14 of them went off with new homes. I want to thank everyone who came and chatted with me over the weekend- it was a lot of fun!

However, since not all the plushies sold, I now have 5 plushies that I really need to move ASAP. So!

The leftover plushies are now being featured in my Etsy Shop ([link] for two days with free shipping! If you order one of those plushies before Wednesday, I will ship them out to you immediately. I've been talking about this vaguely for a while, so I figured it's about time to lay down what's happening.

There's a small, Saturday/Sunday-only convention happening at the end of this month called Quinni-Con. I was offered a table at their AA, and happily accepted! So, what does this mean for the business?

I'm going to be spending the rest of this month making dolls to sell at the convention. They can be of anything! This is the first time in a while I get to sit down and make whatever. This is where you come in!

If you have a doll you'd like to see made, but not necessarily as a custom commission for yourself, please let me know! I could use a little direction when it comes to making these dolls, and knowing what people would like to see- but not necessarily buy- would be a great help. So, if you have a particular character (Pokemon will be considered first, for convenience sake) that you'd like to see made, leave a comment here or on my deviantART or anywhere where I can see it, and I'll take it into consideration! Popular suggestions are almost guaranteed to be made so long as I have fabric laying around that matches the colors needed for the doll.

And what of the dolls that don't sell at the con? They will be offered on my Etsy for about three days with free shipping. I'm moving at the very beginning of May, and I don't want to have to transport all these plushies to my new home. So, if you see a doll posted at any time before the end of April (that is listed as being sold at Quinni-Con) that you like, keep an eye on my Etsy after the con! All unsold dolls with be posted there with free shipping until May 2nd.

Hello there! It's been a while since I made a journal. Here's a quick update-type-deal to keep the front page here lookin' fresh.

To those waiting for doll/costume commissions: My production rate has slowed down a little because school is back in session (and it's mid-term time at my college, yipe!). However, this does not mean that your orders will be abandoned- I continuously work on orders throughout the school year, just at a slightly slower pace than over the summer. Please keep checking the Twitter to see how your order is coming along!

To those who have hold orders: I will be wiping away any hold orders that were instated /before/ I started using order numbers to keep track of orders. If you have a number, then you're fine- your order will not be wiped, and you can continue to leave it on hold. For those of you who do not have order numbers, please get in contact with me to get one. If you do not, I will consider your hold order null and will wipe it from my list.

New stuff: Lots of custom Pokemon dolls to be posted soon, as well as a special Halloween plush! If there's a gap in my order list at any point, also expect to see My Little Pony custom figures and dolls!

Halloween: I'm hopefully gonna be cosplaying Terezi from Homestuck (if everything gets here on time), and will also hopefully get to snap a lot of pictures!

Otakon was a lot of fun! It was really great being at such a big con- got to meet a lot of really awesome people and get a ton of cool stuff from the Artist's Alley! Cosplayed Celty the first day, then Duck, and then Sophie for a little while on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came up and said hi~!

Next con is PAX Prime- I'm gonna be participating in the PAX Pokemon League as a Gym Leader again! This time I'll be Sabrina instead of Maylene. Challenge my Psychic-type Pokemon if you dare- and if you win, get a nifty badge! Collect enough and you can challenge the Elite Four to get cool prizes on the last day of the con.

ConnectiCon was loads of fun! I was hesitant at first since I hadn't been there in a few years and had an iffy time back then, but this year was fantastic! Watching the sword-fighting tournament was great, and just hanging out and meeting people was too!

's Howl wig didn't come in time, sadly, so we just did Isaac and Miria all weekend. Oh well! They're always fun anyway, and Howl should be ready for Otakon.

animeNEXT was a total blast!

Sadly, 's Howl cosplay didn't make it on time, so I didn't get to premiere Sophie at the con. Instead, we did Isaac and Miria on Sunday, which was okay, since we got in so late on Friday that we only wore them for a few hours. We figure we'll just do Howl and Sophie at the next con!

But animeNEXT was still tons of fun. I really enjoyed catching up with so many people in the local area, and I hope the rest of the cons this summer will be just as fun! Oh, and being Nice on Saturday was especially fun, with all of the gruesome scar makeup I got to do!

Now I'm going to sleep for forever- or until I stop aching, haha. Whichever comes first. Cons take a lot out of you!

Anime Boston was an absolute blast. I don't think I've ever had so much fun at a convention- this was officially my favorite so far, even if I could only stay until halfway through Saturday!

Cosplayed as Miria and had SO MUCH FUN causing antics about the convention hall with my Isaac. Sneaking around, peering around pillars, and acting completely /shocked/ when someone managed to catch us. ("If you rat us out..." "If you rat us out!" "Lights out." "Lights out!")

We were so pleasantly surprised to see how many Baccano! cosplayers there were- especially all of the Isaac and Miria pairs! It was so much fun getting to hang out with all of you, especially at the photoshoot!

The Melody Ball was awesome, too. We showed up a little late, but we had tons of fun dancing nonetheless! (Even if I was learning to dance right there on the floor. >3>) And people even came up to us and complimented our dancing skills or stopped us on the dance floor to say "Isaac and Miria- you guys are adorable!" ;3; I was so not expecting that!

The highlight of the weekend, though, was getting to meet J. Michael Tatum. My Isaac actually managed to run into him in the bathroom of all places, and I think he fangirled over our cosplays as much as we fangirled over him, haha, because he legitimately shouted and PICKED US UP into hugs. And even when we popped into his panels and waved through a crack in the door, he jumped up and gave us even more airborne hugs! ("Do you know where a real cowboy keeps his gun?" "...Right here." <3) Best weekend ever.

Thanks so much to each and every person who played along with our silliness or just plain gave us high-fives and hugs! You guys made the weekend so great.

Next con is gonna be animeNEXT, and we'll see what cosplays I managed to get done, but right now the plan is to finish up Teto, and then make Nice and Princess Tutu. Tutu is gonna be a challenge though, so we'll see! Bring it on, summer!

Finally caved and decided to give Twitter a spin. The account will update about new services offered for Mizza's Mods, changes in the business, and up-to-the-minute details about specific jobs so customers can keep track of the status of their costume, doll, or mod. It will most likely not have information about my personal costuming work, and will only deal with updates to the business (though if a new costume debuts in the gallery, that may be mentioned).
